AI is a tool,
not a strategy.
Multiplying
your people is.
Turning your domain experts into the people who solve the problems they already understand best. I call it the Vertical Builder Program.
what changed
Writing code stopped being the hard part.
The hard part now is understanding the domain well enough to know what to build, and specifying it clearly enough that an AI can build it for you.
That knowledge doesn't sit in R&D. It sits with the CS manager who knows exactly why deals churn, the recruiter who knows which sourcing channel wastes everyone's time, the analyst who knows where the hours disappear.
Most companies reach for the same three answers.
Hire more engineers
Expensive, still a bottleneck.
Buy AI tools
Generic, zero context about your company, irrelevant in a quarter.
Run AI training
Teaches syntax, nothing ships, nothing moves.
None of them gives you multiplication.
This isn't an AI project. It's a people project. AI is just where it starts.
the role
What's a Vertical Builder?
A domain expert who builds their own AI-powered tools for their own work, without depending on R&D.
Not a developer, not an AI enthusiast. A CS manager, a recruiter, a marketer, an analyst.
They multiply themselves.
how it works
Four things make it actually work.
the program
It runs in three stages.
Discovery & setup
We lock the metric for each role, build the environment together with your R&D, and prove it works by shipping a real tool through it.
The cohort
8 to 12 people from one department. 4 full workshop days that are part teaching, part building together. Everyone ships a real tool.
◆ DEMO DAY FOR LEADERSHIPOngoing support
Mentorship, group builds, leadership advisory, and product work on the builder environment to turn one cohort into a culture instead of a one-off.
why me
I'm the proof of concept.
I've worked as an AI Builder at a VC-backed startup for the past 3 years. Not as an engineer. As a builder with no coding background, shipping things that run in production.
